The house is situated just outside the town gate in Bélesta, an old pittoresque village in the Pyrenees. From the terrace there is a gorgeous view to the Canigou mountain (c. 9.300 feet / 2.785 m.), the fertile Têt valley and the Mediterranean in the distance.
The distance from Bélesta to Perpignan is 18 miles (30 km.), to the Mediteranean 25 miles (40 km.), to the Spanish border 30 miles (50 km.) and to the skiing areas 40 miles (60 km.)
